!Co LAPse KoDe @ Marginalia+Lab, Brasil

The project !Co LAPse KoDe was selected out of 97 submissions from 27 countries to participate in the international residency program of Marginalia+Lab, a space for creation and research in art and technology in Belo Horizonte, Brasil.

During the residency in Belo Horizonte, the group wishes to continue its researches with the free software for motion tracking, OBJSCRS, which allows the interpretation of movements of bodies and objects through real-time images, using, different types of sensor zones and a surveillance camera. The fundamental idea is to transform a repressive tool (surveillance camera) into a creative one. Through workshops for experimentation with the software, with the participation of local artists (programmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers and anyone interested), the group will develop a performance/installation that will be presented at the end of the residency.
