The mobile studio: get out of the radio studios and into the city!
On Monday 14 October a workshop took place with Arthur Lacomme from Radio Panik on mobile radio studio devices.
The mobile studio is a light, modular device specially designed to get out of the radio studios and enable broadcasts, interviews and recordings to be made directly where things are happening. Radio Panik has been using this device for years, going out to meet residents, associations, festivals and struggles.
In this workshop, Arthur explained the different technical set-up proposals for different situations, as well as the importance of collectively preparing a direction and sound design. He delved as well into sound extracts from various outings of the device in town.
To continue this workshop, we offered interested parties the chance to try out the device in a real-life situation by hosting a program on Saturday 26 October during the AI meeting, Au delà des mythes, cerner ses enjeux politiques.
Every 2nd Monday of the month, these critical reflection encounters aim to tackle digital-related topics (e.g. algorithms, surveillance capitalism, ecological impacts, etc.) and explore alternative ways of doing things (discovering free and ethical tools, unboxing smartphones, protecting communications, etc.)
These meetings are organised by one of Constant’s partner, Tactic.
