Talkaoke European Women’s Lobby
Constant member An Mertens, will be moderating the mobile talkshow Talkaoke during the 20th anniversary of the European Women’s Lobby (EWL). Everyone is warmly invited to come & talk about your ideas, visions, accomplishments.
Founded in 1990, the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) is an NGO and the largest umbrella organisation of women’s organizations in the European Union (EU), working to promote women’s rights and equality between women and men. As of November 2009, EWL membership extends to organisations in all 27 EU member states and the three candidate countries, as well as to 21 European-wide bodies, representing a total of more than 2500 organisations.
TALKAOKE is a mobile chat show with no particular agenda. Once the discussion has started, then the topics are allowed to take their course. The discussions are lead by the people who participate. With only a one hour set-up, Talkeoke can involve up to 300 people a day. The discussions are recorded in a video format that can be put online straight away.
