Recursive publishing

We see recursive publishing, which comes with the explicit invitation to rewrite and republish, as generative work.

And now that everyone is editing, what? is a series of meetings to rethink and share knowledge about contemporary publishing, organised by the artists in residence in the field of experimental editorial design at the Santa Mònica Arts Center in Barcelona: Silvia Renda, Estefanía Martín and Carlos Clemente.

The event explores methods, workflows, hybridisation of roles in publishing and the digital world, technologies and practices beyond the book in the strictest sense. We will also open debate on what content we consider a priority for publishing in the immediate present, questioning innovation and inventing challenges.

In this framework, Elodie Mugrefya and Peter Westenberg talk about the attitudes and practices that are involved in the work around publishing that Constant develops. Appearing on the menu of their talk "We see recursive publishing, which comes with the explicit invitation to rewrite and republish, as generative work": the CC4r license, the Constant Collaboration Guidelines, the work of Bye Bye Binary and OSP, Books with an attitude, SPLINT and reparative publishing and other things.
