Project: Algolit

From Words to Numbers through Word embeddings

Algolit, the workgroup around FLOSS literature and code, organises a meeting in Rotterdam around word embeddings.
Word embeddings are an algorithmic method by which a machine learns language by looking at the contexts of words in large datasets.

We will start the day by going step-by-step through a basic word embedding recipe (https://www.tensorflow.org/tutorials/word2vec). Next, we will slide into both code-based and non-code based experiments, depending on what the attendants are inclined towards.

The recipes offer different entrances into the field of algorithmic writing, using snippets out of the process of machine learning models. Each recipe will be contextualized and the results will be documented at the end of the day.

If you are interested to attend this session, please email info@varia.zone at any point in advance. Bring your laptop on 17-3.
This Algolit session is part of a 2-day program. More details on the program very soon at http://varia.zone/en/
