We invite you to a 2 day collective research session to create counter spells and amulets to circumvent or disrupt local surveillance technologies.

The session will open with a welcoming performance by Barbe who will share ways to use our bodies as weapons or shapeshifter. It will be followed by a technopaganist treasure hunt to experiment camouflage tactics from our bodies and inner self to confront surveillance technologies. In the afternoon, we will be introduced to a form of ventriloquism fieldwork as a tactic to communicate invisibly between us. We will finish the day by taking a moment to collectively map out the surrounding of Midi station and its connections to Frontex to understand how these infrastructures are configured to track civilian bodies.

The second day will be an open space for trying things out: exploring the technologies, signals, and devices that surround us, testing tools, making things, following intuitions, sharing techniques, and seeing what happens.
Bring your spells, herbs, microcontrollers, domestic hacking techniques, witching recipes, or whatever else you would like to experiment with.

Throughout the sessions, we will document, transform, and reinterpret what emerges. Tarot, drawings, objects, notes, recordings, and other forms of documentation are all welcome.

Rather than seeking definitive answers, the workshop asks what forms of protection, disruption, invisibility, and communication might be possible when we experiment with surveillance technologies and the environments around them. It is a space to test, play, fail, improvise, and discover together.

• The main language will be English, but there will be whispers in many languages.
