From Bosnia to the world and back
«From Bosnia to the world and back» is a cartographic project by Rafaella Houlstan-Hasaerts, that situates the Bosnia "neighborhood" in Saint-Gilles in the middle of its worldwide network.
The installation in the window of Constant (Constant V), from 23rd April till 4th June, connects the mouvements of neighborhood residents, storekeepers and users as well as the international trajectories of all sort of things – products, words, food, recipes, memories – that have circulated with them or that they’ve put in motion.
Come & enjoy Maroccan olives from Diamant Vert, Brazilian pasteis de gairova of Boteco’s and other products of the world gleaned from local businesses during the opening on 23rd April!
«From Bosnia to the world and back» is part of "Parlez-vous Saint-Gillois?", a two year artistic research into the language of Saint-Gilles.
This project is made possible through the financial support under the Contrat de Quartier Durable Bosnie by Brussels Capital-Region and Commune de Saint-Gilles.
