Rapidly and increasingly evolving digital media are undermining the traditional models of cultural transfer and the traditional definition of authorship. Applied to genetics, these DISCOVERIES in information theory represent a radical deconstruction of our view on BODIES and sexual identity.

Such MUTATIONS are associated with a number of important risks, as they are backed up with a great deal of industrial power and by the reductive logic of the free market. Nevertheless, it is a RISK that can be taken for those who do not suffer from nostalgia for our culturally constructed naturem nor to its models and frames of reference.

Thanks to http://www.partywalker.org/partybus en 'agent' Walker, THE PARTY has created a site that will help a virtual community become more open to thought and resistance. Here are some choice examples of dialogue with Playful&Plain-speaking Walker :

Roseware: collective work-in-progress, endless CD-ROM

With Roseware, Chris Marker realizes the wish that 'every spectator/reader gradually substitutes my images for theirs and that my imperfect memory has served as a springboard for the reader in the pilgrimage to the recovery of time. After all, there are enough codes available that everyone is familiar with to compile this memory such as travel photos, family albums, images of favourite animals....'.

As a structure for Roseware, a simplified version of Immemory was used, created with the software Hyperstudio.

During the summer, over a period of two months, the Société des Expositions and the not-for-profit organisation Constant proposed an extensive programme of installations, films, videos and CD-ROMs rarely shown in Brussels in the Antechambers of the Palais des Beaux-Arts. 'Memory' was the central theme of the works.
