Interface3, Centre de formation bruxellois pour femmes en recherche d’emploi

Interface3 tries to expand and diversify professional investment fields of women and enable them to build effective foundation for a professional career in a job market in which computer skills are not only a great asset but became a must!

To reach this goal the organisation offers introduction modules to information and communication technologies, guidance modules allowing women to discover the careers offered by the various businesses of the ICT field and finally, qualifications and certification courses leading to ICT jobs or jobs in making intensive use of IT tools.

Why is this important? Today the digital gap between men and women is gradually reducing concerning access and use, particularly through the development of Internet. However this almost equal use hides an important imbalance in the mastery of these technologies, operational systems and construction of computer. Indeed, there are less than 20% of female ICT professionals.

Juist is Juist takes into account that fair practices can differ depending on the context – without calling into question the basic legal and solidarity principles. “Juist is Juist” defines clear and fair principles and practices for collaborations in the arts sector. And it does so for all disciplines: the performing arts, music (from pop to classical), the visual and audiovisual arts. Thanks to Juist is Juist, all who create, perform, exhibit, curate and are in residence have access to information about correct employment relationships. And this applies to all parties concerned: clients and contractors, producers and coproducers, venues and performers.

Just For The Record

Just For The Record is a project addressing how gender is represented in new media and writing/publishing tools like Wikipedia, and what influence this has on the way history is recorded. With the importance that such platforms as Wikipedia have gained in our society, and the new writing and publishing tools they propose, it is becoming clear that history is being written down once again. To address these issues Just for the record organises in Brussels a series of events between edit-a-thon, reading and performance.
