Rear window

During his residency at Constant Studio in WTC25, the audiovisual artist Stéfan Piat worked on an upgrade of both software and hardware for his project "Rear window".

"Rear window" is an in-situ audio installation whereby sounds from outside the window are transferred inside the exhibition space. Through microphones located in the close neighbourhood, the visible soundscape is streamed and spatialized in live. The installation aim to transform the window into a cinematographic device that opens architecture and creates a shift between what we see and what we hear.

After been exposed in Z33, House for Contemporary art and Constant, Association for Art and Media, the updated version of "Rear window" has been recently presented in the Concertgebouw in Bruges during the festival Surround!

A production by Overtoon and Z33.
With support of q-o2, Greylight projects, Constant.
