GML Field Recorder Challenge

Constant supports the GML Field Recorder Challenge, an initiative of Evan Roth to launch a contest for the design of an easily reproducible DIY device that can unobtrusively record graffiti motion data during a graffiti writer's normal practice in the city.

The challenge is open to artists, vandals, private companies, student teams and independent inventors. The award of 1500,— euro is only made to a successful person or team of persons when the challenge is met. All aspects of the winning project must be released under an open license.

E-Culture Fair

As part of the E-CULTURE FAIR 2010, BALTAN Laboratories is organising a presentation of Dutch, Belgian and German media art laboratories in Dortmund. Constant is one of the labs presented at the fair.

During the fair, in workshops and through live presentations, international creatives and artists are presented with an opportunity to showcase their latest works and to anticipate future collaborations in the context of electronic culture. The intention is to display the various creative applications in the digital field, and to debate social and cultural transformations and the current state of their artistic reflection.

Video Surveillance walk

During our daily movements through the city, even in public transport, we are being observed by camera's. During these walks that are a collaboration between Nova, Hacklab, League for human rights and Constant, we'll see in how far it is childs play to gain access to camera's placed by shop owners and individuals. In the streets of Sint-Gillis we will also discover the range of camera's placed by the city council.
