Recyclart opens its doors for a series of ultrashort presentations on the experimental artwork created in the F/LOSS Arts Studio of Variable in Schaarbeek. An opportunity to meet the artists, designers, their work and their technologies.

On the program:
 Claire Williams & Wendy Van Wynsberghe with a "knitted conductive collaborative interaction": electronics meets textile, software and knitting machines,
 Peter Westenberg shows ’Spreekt U Sint-Gillis’, a participative artistic audioproject,
 Open Source Publishing reports on some of their graphical adventures
 Julien Deswaef shows his work ’loveMachine’,
 Olivier Meunier and the Pure Data Patching Circle show how to program sound and image with Pure Data,
 the Open Sound Lab presents het audio software workshops for the creation of rhytmic sound structures.
 Femke Snelting & An Mertens present the Public Domain Day publication, The Death of the Authors, edition 1942.

Special guest is the German designer Christoph Haag, master in generative animations and typography. He is currently in residency in Variable.

Een serie ultrakorte presentaties over experimentele projecten die worden ontwikkeld in het atelierpand ’Variable’ in Schaarbeek. Kom kennis maken met hoogstaande creaties, hun kunstenaars, ontwerpers en technologie.
Variable is een collectief atelierpand in Schaarbeek dat onderdak biedt aan Open Source Publishing, Open Hardware Lab, Libre Video Lab en Open Sound Lab. Kunstenaars van allerlei disciplines werken er met vrije software, met open source en gerecupereerde hardware, met open inhoudlicenties. Dit Brusselse "Free Libre Open Source Software Arts Lab" is uniek in Europa. Het is een initiatief van de Kunst en Media vzw Constant; internationaal berucht voor haar maffe avant-gardistische en überserieuze technologische activiteiten.

Op het programma o.a.:
 Claire Williams en Wendy Van Wynsberghe zorgen voor "knitted conductive collaborative interaction": elektronica meets textiel, software en breimachines.
 Peter Westenberg toont ’Spreekt U Sint-Gillis’, een participatief artistiek-auditief werk.
 Open Source Publishing doet verslag van enkele van haar avontuurlijke grafische ontwerpen,
 Julien Deswaef laat na lang aandringen eindelijk zijn werk ’loveMachine’ zien.
Olivier Meunier en de Pure Data Patching Circle demonstreren hoe je grafisch geluid en beeld programmeert met Pure Data, en geven een overzicht van hun maandelijkse werkontmoetingen.
 Het Open Sound Lab presenteert haar audio software workshops in het creëren van ritmische geluids-structuren. Ter plekke kunnen ook de resultaten van voorgaande OSL workshops beluisterd worden.
