The Perceptron

In machine learning, the perceptron is an algorithm for supervised learning of binary classifiers. A binary classifier is a model which can decide whether an input belongs to some specific class.

Neural Networks work the same way as the perceptron. Perceptron is a single layer neural network and a multi-layer perceptron is called Neural Networks.

During this session we will perform the Perceptron physically as a game. Afterwards, we will look at the code. For those wishing to experiment with the code on your computer, we advise to install Python 3.6, Tensorflow and Keras.

For this occasion we will move to De Krook in Gent!

Algolit is a workgroup around FLOSS literature and code, they organise regular meetings following the Oulipo principle. There is no need for programming knowledge, but if you have it, you’re of course very welcome as well. The process will be documented during the day.
